I am excited to embark on this special journey with you and will always maintain an encouraging voice throughout and after your pregnancy. I aim to create a pre and postnatal community full of support, advice and the opportunity to have a good chat with others who are experiencing similar things to you.
You may have heard many different things around the safety of exercise during and after pregnancy. I will give you clear advice and guidance on the exercise which is suggested to give you the confidence to continue to enjoy working out throughout or after your pregnancy.
Exercising whilst or after pregnancy is something you may be unsure of as you will likely have heard statements such as “you shouldn’t exercise when you’re pregnant” or “if you’ve never exercised before then you shouldn’t start during your pregnancy” - both are myths! Of course, there are lots of things we need to consider.
Pregnancy brings with it many changes to your body as well as many fears (all of which are rational) and with a carefully guided programme with considered adaptations these can all be overcome.
Any exercise programme should be undertaken after consultation with a medical professional – it is important that any medical guidance is shared. This is necessary to guide a safe and appropriate programme and any information shared will be treated with the highest confidentiality
